Vintage trade wood sign, CONSIGNMENTS. Sign is old, not an antique however. It was used by a local antique shop. The letters are made of resin and are gilt with real leaf. They developed some nice patina which you cannot see from the photos. Sign is in decent shape, one end is a bit weak but can be reinforced in the back.
The black paint has crackled nicely.
Beautiful sign for an antique shop who accepts consignments, (my shop generally does not) or just as decoration inside the home or out on a barn.
Sign is made of wood except for the letters.The letters alone are expensive. Plain letters at craft and home decor shops run at least $10 each. These letters have a nice raised grain design, most likely came from a sign shop.
Measures: 82" long by a little over 17" wide.
