Gorgeous large-scale statue of a black swan, all artisan crafted and signed. Swan is one of a kind and made from fiberglass. The detailing is exquisite, the artist rendered the facial expression articulately, and the entire statue has the appearance of being crafted from wood. The eyes are glass.
I acquired this statue locally although I was unable to find out anything about the artist. The signature is difficult to make out. The artist who made this piece is truly gifted; craftsmanship is so superb and well done.
There is a wood base on the swan and inside is weighted with a heavy material.
Since the swan is made of fiberglass it can be a garden accent although I recommend spraying it with an outdoor sealer first. (Speak with your paint department locally first before attempting)
Swan measures: 17 ½” across from the longest points, 18 ½” high and 9” across the widest width.
Beautiful gift for a primitive collector, bird lover, or a perhaps a dancer who has always dreamed of playing the role of the black swan.
