1800s Primitive Red and black Painted Seamans Chest, Blanket Box Storage Trunk Bench

Antique primitive blanket trunk dating from the early to mid 1800's, beautiful red painted finish over black which has crackled and developed a rich patina from years of use and aging. Dovetail construction. This is the type of distressed finish collectors look for. Trunk was originally a seaman's chest, has roped handles, one has come undone. Not a repo nor has it been repainted to look old.

Beautiful trunk for winter storage out in the hall, doubles as a bench, storage in the kitchen or the bedroom for root veggies and winter blankets. Also would be a great box for kindling next to the fireplace. Blanket trunks are very popular as coffee tables in cottage style homes.

The inside is very clean, crack across the the bottom of the trunk. Trunk also has a few small scratches, and nicks. Metal lock although there is no key.

Antique Distressed Corner Cupboard, Cabinet, Old Paint, Beautiful

 

Large antique corner cupboard, great distressed finish. Part of the finish is original to this cupboard, the inside however was painted over when I purchased the cabinet. I re-painted the inside with a Farrow and Ball paint finish to compliment the beautiful green / mustard/ red finish along the trim. Cabinet is a great display piece, has two doors on the bottom.

Vintage Mid Century Modern Laurel Mushroom Floor Lamp, Space Age Saarinen Era

Classic vintage modern lamp. Designed to go with everything in the modern home, the tapered chrome base and hand blown frosted glass globe is just wonderful. As with all Laurel lamps the parts, weight and construction are top drawer. This is an excellent example in very good vintage condition. Light oxidation bright and shinny- no chrome loss.

Measures Base 51 inches tall, with shade it stands 56 1/2 inches

Base is 10 inches in diameter

Hand Blown Shade is 13 inches in diameter.

Primitive Wood Trade, Advertising Sign, Original Paint, Catskills NY, Bab-el-wad, Hebrew

Early primitive trade sign from the early 1900's from a Jewish Catskill NY campground. Bab-el-Wad is a Hebrew or Arabic word meaning "Gates of The valley".

Sign has it's original green paint and white lettering, was used outside.

Table is in good condition, ideal as a hallway table. There are some scratches on the finish as well, other then that, this table is beautiful with a rustic farmhouse / industrial appeal.

Italian Primitive Farmhouse Side Table Desk, Industrial Harvest Cottage Chic

Antique primitive farmhouse table or desk, two draws, deep rich patina and worm holes! Table originally comes from Italy, dates to the late 1800's to the early 1900's.

Table is in good condition, one of the legs were broken and repaired as you can see from the photos. That is why the table is priced low, there are some scratches on the finish as well, other then that, this table is a beautiful with a rustic farmhouse / industrial appeal.
