This striking vintage floral dress is just what the fashionista ordered for the girl looking for a truly beautiful, unique and a one of a kind dress. Dates back to the 1960's - 1970's. Still has the original tag from the International Ladies' Garment Workers' Union label. The tailoring is very high quality throughout, dress looks to have been hardly worn. Material is beautiful and soft, purple and green. Dress is lined and has tabs for hanging. Zipper is plastic which leads me to believe the dress dates from the late 1960's to 1970's. Plastic zippers were not used until the 60's.
Dress is very small, fits a size 2-4 depending upon rid cage size. Measurements are: 28" bust and 24 1/2" waist. 33 1/2 long from top of bust to hem. I purchased the dress from a young woman who wore this to the Red Hook Winter Ball. She purchased the dress from a vintage clothing shop in Hudson.

Need a smashing dress for a spring event?
This beautiful spring summer dress is an authentic vintage dress dating from the 1950's to 1960's. The label is Jrell Jr New York. Would look perfect with a sharp looking black belt and a small black cardigan top or shrug.
Dress measurements are as follows: 26" waist and 35" chest. 45" long from top of shoulder to hem. Dress is very slim fitting on the top and is ideal for a teenager or a woman with a small rib cage. I'm not good at guessing modern day dress sizes, you will need to measure your bust and waist. Women were built smaller back in the good ole day and they also used corsets to make their waist trimmer.
The bust area contains side darts.
Material:
Soft light weight cotton. There is also a sheer cotton underslip. I photographed the dress with a crinoline to fill out the skirt, dress looks equally fetching worn without it flat. The zipper is made of metal and zips very easily. Dress has two loops for a belt.
Condition: Dress overall is in very good, wearable condition. There are a few small brown stains here and there, not very prominent. Under the zipper area the stitching has become loose, nothing serious, can be fixed with light hand sewing.
Vintage dresses are not only made better then dresses today but they're also much more affordable and beautiful!
I personally love the flattering shape and mandarin collar on this dress, wish it fit me.
If you would like more photos I can e-mail them, I have photos of the label, stains and small details.
